IMO, time spent was better on top right then bottom left, I don't see a reason why to change that.

In an open project, there is so much wasted white space at the top middle section. And the top black line also takes space and therefore reduces the space of what is most important, the project.

Also the icon for the filters on the top right in a project looks like settings but isn't. It's confusing. When you open the actual project settings and want to go back to the project, it would feel natural to click the back-arrow left to the project name. But that kicks me out of the project to the project overview page.
